Position Summary: - Under minimal supervision, is responsible for preparing the quotations and accepting/processing orders and answering questions about price, availability and order status to assigned customers/regions for both new and returned products. Acts as a liaison between company and customer to ensure good communication and customer relations are maintained. Monitors follows-up and resolve issues with customers regarding changes in requirements (both customer and company driven), delivery commitments, production status, etc. Works with internal departments to expedite/resolve issues to ensure customer satisfaction.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Accepts incoming calls/faxes/e-mails and formulates response for requests for quotation, price/delivery and new/change orders. May answer basic questions related to the company's product offering.
- Prepares and sends out all quotations for standard catalogue items to customers within the sales territory.
- Support Sales Manager / Engineer for order process and delivery update.
- Processes orders and reviews terms and conditions of sale to ensure conformity with company/departmental guidelines. Resolves and documents any discrepancies prior to order acceptance.
- Maintains data entry on orders, checking for accuracy prior to finalizing transaction. Maintains necessary records, files and reports.
- Acts as a key liaison for assigned customers/areas, ensuring customers are aware of any changes or potential problems with their orders with the goal of maintaining customer satisfaction. Monitors and follows-up on open issues and works toward timely resolution of challenges (pricing, delivery, terms and conditions, etc.).
- Comply export control policy and perform OCR screening for all Quotation and Order processing.
- Actively participates in the Quality Improvement System.
- Performs other duties as required.
