Our client a fully funded and accelerated startup company in Asia, is looking for a passionate and experienced System Architect / Vicd President of Engineering to join our team in Hong Kong or Taiwan. Youll be a team leader to help grow our software engineering team to develop a reliable and robust ecommerce advertising platform for merchants in Asia.
What youll be doing Lead an engineering team to deliver software solutions that meet or exceed customers expectations and resolve their problems Provide technical leadership over the product cycles and work closely with different teams to contribute ideas and consolidate functional and nonfunctional requirements Design system architecture and responsible for coding of key components of the application and system interfaces with high complexity to ensure the security, stability and scalability of the system implementation Define and develop the team workflow, coding guidelines and best practices for better collaboration among teammates Regular review of the technical work with product team to ensure the implementation that resolves customers pain points and product releases of good quality and on schedule Run and improve an agile engineering process, setting goals and deliverables to maximize the team's efficiency
Must haves Degree holder in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related disciplines At least 5 working experience in software development and proven experience as a software architect Excellent knowledge of software and application design and architecture Proven leader with an entrepreneurial spirit who is excited to work in a fast-paced startup environment. Good problem solving and analytical skills Great oral and written communication skills in both Chinese and English Candidates with exceptional technical capabilities or experiences would be considered with the role of VP of Engineering
Good to haves Experience working for a fast-paced startup Familiar with agile development frameworks Knowledge on building or maintaining e-commerce and advertising platforms
