Responsibilities of the role:

• Be part of a strong team that has overall responsibility for the development and on-going management and support of IT Infrastructure and shared services for the Region
• Fully understand the key business areas around the region to plan, develop and implement infrastructure solutions that are in line with strategic goals of the Business
• To drive, manage and deliver Regional Infrastructure and Cloud projects
• Aligning engineering teams responsible for the delivery of cloud adoption tasks
• Work with Senior HOD’s to plan, implement and support new technology solutions, and continually look at upgrades or new options that are fit for purpose and user friendly
• Work closely with IT application, infra and security leads on the technical development of solutions and process to enhance the operations of services across the Region.
• Make sure the 24/7 availability of systems and services is a key success factor across the Group
• Work closely with the team to create relationships across the Region, to be able to effectively drive the cloud adoption strategy of the business, including key vendors
• Make sure projects and initiatives fall into Organisational standards and governance, whilst continually looking to improve these

Requirements of the role:

• Degree holder in Computer Science / Information Technology or equivalent with roughly 15 years of relevant experience
• 5+ years of team leading/managerial experience
• Strong understanding of core infrastructure including Cloud (Azure, AWS), with hybrid architectural knowledge a key factor
• Ideally a holder of qualifications in this space (Microsoft, VMware, Redhat etc.)
• A good understanding of MS products, O365 etc. would be highly advantageous
• Strong project delivery and vendor management needed
• Complex, large system integration experience would be preferable, with strong problem solving skills
• Excellent communication skills, able to deal with multiple senior stakeholders, as well as technical leads
• Fluent English language is essential
• Love technology and new technologies
