Our client is an international asset management firm with an unparalleled reputation across the Asia Pacific region. With the continued growth of the organization, the need has arisen to recruit high calibers to join them.
You will provide legal advice and support to management and business for the asset management business, including but not limited to SFC authorized funds (including MPF Products) and private funds or managed accounts and related regulatory issues. You will be responsible for negotiating and reviewing a range of fund documentation / agreements, legal matters regarding fund maintenance / establishing funds, negotiating ISDA / broker agreements, managing external counsels and providing general day to day legal advice. Lastly, you will also draft, review and negotiate legal documents, including product documents, investment and commercial contracts as well as analyze and provide legal advice on the new or changes in existing legislation, rules, regulations, guidelines and others.
To be considered, you should be a qualified lawyer with 1 to 3 years PQE working in private practice or in-house legal department in the financial services industry. Prior experience in dealing with funds / asset management is required. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required - fluency in English and Chinese is a prerequisite as well as familiarity with Securities and Futures Ordinance, Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Ordinance, Companies Ordinance and Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance would be an advantage.
